Three tiers, read from the top: a black marquise-stone crown, a fluted bar, and then a pair of peacocks facing each other across a black pear-stone. The last tier is a wide rectangular black cabochon in a beaded frame, hung with pear- and round-shaped stones and four clusters of faux pearls that swing as you turn your head.
- Oxidised silver-tone finish over a base-metal alloy
- Facing-peacock motif with cross-hatched wing detailing
- Rectangular jet black cabochon with marquise, pear and round accent stones
- Faux pearl clusters on four short chains along the lower edge
- Post-and-push-back stud fitting
Black stone and oxidised silver are the safest long earrings to own — they hold up against a black saree with gold zari, and they stop a plain kurta from looking unfinished. The plates are hollow-backed, so the drop reaches the jaw without the weight that usually comes with it. Same design in lilac.
Materials & finish
Materials & finish
Oxidised silver or gold-plated finish over a base-metal alloy. Stones are cut and cabochon glass in kundan-style settings; pearls are faux. This is imitation jewellery, not precious metal or gemstone.
Care
Care
Keep away from water, perfume and hairspray, and store each pair separately so the finishes do not rub. Wipe with a dry cloth after wearing.
