Built in three parts. An engraved rectangular plate holds a green teardrop cabochon; under it a fluted horizontal bar with a single pearl at its centre acts as a hinge; and from that hangs a second green teardrop on a fan of tightly packed faux pearls, edged with pearl drops on individual links.
- Oxidised silver-tone finish over a base-metal alloy
- Two green teardrop cabochons, upper one framed in an engraved lotus plate
- Fluted crossbar with a single pearl centre
- Fan of packed faux pearls with a row of pearl drops
- Post-and-push-back stud fitting
Green with oxidised silver and pearl is the temple jewellery register — pair it with an ivory or gold tissue sari or with a deep green kurta for a pooja. This is a long pair, so leave the neck bare and pull your hair up; a choker will crowd it. If you want the same length in a lighter stone, look at the lilac peacock chandeliers.
Materials & finish
Materials & finish
Oxidised silver or gold-plated finish over a base-metal alloy. Stones are cut and cabochon glass in kundan-style settings; pearls are faux. This is imitation jewellery, not precious metal or gemstone.
Care
Care
Keep away from water, perfume and hairspray, and store each pair separately so the finishes do not rub. Wipe with a dry cloth after wearing.
